This is my first journal about CSC104. This course is very interesting and I can learn a lot of knowledge about computer. this week, I had learned about takeover in batches, time sharing and some issue of Von Neumann. Moreover, I had learned that history of store data. Date can be stored in different technology. For example, it has compact disc, hard drive and flash drive. Those storages are very dissimilar compare those appearance. Flash drives are the most convenient storage due to its size. These types of knowledge are useful for me, because before I take this course, I have no idea about how those technology things were created. Furthermore, this picture from this week of computer is surprising, because it is my first time to see it.
   The challenged part for this week is Dr.racket. I was confused about "decompose and reconstruct images." this part of video. I canunderstand what meaning about color list. I do understand why when I typed (image->color-list s). It will appear (make-color 0 255 0 255). Additionally, I am confused about the map and list meaning. Therefore, for this week quiz, I think it is the worst quiz that I have done. I think this quiz is very difficult, I canunderstand those questions. However, I think the tutorial is very helpful for me. Teaching Assistance has much patience when I asked the question.
  For achievement this week. Dr.Racket is a handy tool when l modification of the picture. This week, I learned how to produce the middle element of a 5-element list and use range to produce the list of integers from 1 to 20. In addition, utilize Dr.racket is very interesting. It is kind of like used magic to change the color of the picture, the size of the picture and rotate pictures.
Owing to my major is visual arts, this course in not related to my major, but I think I can use Dr.racket to change the picture.
  To sum up, I will keep writing about this journal, because I think it is advantageous for studying for this course.
